Killin Scotland

The Courie Inn, in Killin, Scotland, opened its doors in 2014 – a significant year, with events being held across the country. So why not plan your trip and experience Perthshire as we celebrate Scotland’s Homecoming 2014, the Ryder Cup and the Commonwealth Games.

Killin Scotland is a good base for hill walking, with the Tarmachan Ridge and our nearby Munros of Ben Lawers and Beinn Ghlas all easily accessible. It also forms part of the famous southern highlands walk The Rob Roy Way, with Killin one of the stop-offs. If you want to enjoy the great outdoors there are a lot of ways to spend your day – be it with a round of golf, fishing, mountain biking, canoeing or kayaking.

For those looking for a more relaxing visit the village offers a range of local shops, gentle walks and some great places to eat and drink, not to mention the breath taking scenery.

The Scottish Crannog Centre

An important part of Scotland’s heritage, a crannog is a type of ancient loch dwelling found throughout Scotland and Ireland, and dating from 2,500 years ago. At the Scottish Crannog Centre you will be able to learn more about Scotland’s history and see a unique reconstruction of an early Iron Age loch dwelling.
